Breakthrough Technology Could Revolutionize Fiber Internet Service Providers In Atlanta Georgia

A more energy-efficient method of increasing optical networks’ data capacity could very well be the solution to speed and cost efficiency for fiber internet service providers in Atlanta Georgia and their customers. Data from existing fiber optic networks around the world could very well travel over the same, single fiber cable. As well, the performance of large networks like the National Broadband Network could be significantly boosted and costs reduced.

Australia was the site of this breakthrough, in which researchers reprogrammed a network component to work more efficiently with data encoding technology. The ‘switch’ would be able to fit between gaps in data traffic, adding the ability for network operators to adjust capacity when increased demand occurs. This will certainly come in handy for the future, in which researcher predict the use of the internet to rise by one-thousand fold.

Law Enforcement Access To User Email Shouldn’t Depend On Time: Feds

Measurable reform to the Electronic Communications Privacy Act may be forthcoming following an acknowledgement by the Department of Justice yesterday. The acknowledgement, involving law enforcement access to user emails included the perspective that there is no reason to treat emails that are under 180 days old differently from emails that are over 180 days old.

The Department of Justice statement is in line with one made by an ARS Technica writer at the end of last year, which opined that the outdated rules aren’t consistent in any way with the workings of today’s email systems. But experts say that the wait for privacy-conscious reform as far as law enforcement access to email could be a long one, as the introduction of such legislation has been occurring for two years.

Twitter Users Not Representative Of All Users Of Internet Service Providers In Los Angeles California

A new study by the Pew Research Center has shown that, when looking to see what the public thinks about an issue, you probably shouldn’t user your connection from internet service providers in Los Angeles California to consult Twitter, at least where significant political and national news is concerned. The study found that reactions to such news on Twitter were much different than those reactions obtained via surveys.

This offers a very interesting twist on how breaking news is obtained and communicated via social media. Recent observations were that the transparency on social media outlets meant a higher degree of believability in what was being reported overall. After all, when so many people are watching, there are more to catch false information. Unfortunately, this doesn’t appear to be the case for Twitter, who appears to be more of a separate demographic than an accurate representation of the public.
